Gilt Sun, Tiny Stocking, Batik Cascade, Hidden Stars, Step Afghan

At last, a blog post! I was sick with a nasty virus for a couple of weeks and just wasn't up to blogging. I'm feeling better now.

Quilting:

I did some more quilting on Batik Cascade (Batik Go-Round) by Karen Combs.

I'm still working on the first block of Hidden Stars. I had to stop mid-seam because I was feeling unwell and never did get it finished.

Cross Stitch:

I did some more work on Gilt Sun (designer unknown) by Landmark Tapestries and Charts.

I finished stitching the Tiny Stocking designed by Jorja Hernandez.

Crochet:

Finally, I did some more work on the step afghan.

I've pulled out yet another UFO. This one's Gilt Sun (designer unknown) by Landmark Tapestries and Charts (who I can't find any info on at all). Here's what I had already done:

And here's what I got done this week:

December's here and it's time to work on a Christmas project. I'm doing the Tiny Stockings ornaments designed by Jorja Hernandez again. I've started the one that says Peace on Earth.

Batik Cascade, Wheat Fields, Joy of Computer Work, Kat O Plenty, Hidden Stars, Step Afghan

Quilting:

I did some more quilting on Batik Cascade (Batik Go-Round) by Karen Combs.

I also began piecing my first quilt design. I designed this and bought all the fabric for it ages ago, but I'm only just now starting to actually make it. I took an existing traditional (I think) quilt block and played around with it to create my own block. Or, quilt designs being what they are, I may just have reinvented the wheel. At any rate, I'm saying it's mine unless I find out otherwise. I'm calling it Hidden Stars because there are no stars in the block itself, but when the blocks are sewn together the stars appear. Here's what I've got done so far:

Cross Stitch:

I've all but finished Kat O Plenty, a Mini-Kats™ design by Linda Connors of Calico Crossroads®, adapted from the artwork of Kathleen Kelly of Kats by Kelly™. He just needs whiskers and eyes.

I also did some more stitching on Joy of Computer Work which is based on artwork by Randal Spangler and adapted to cross stitch by Michele Sayetta of Heaven and Earth Designs. I didn't do any work on the text this week.

Swedish Weaving:

I did some more work on the towel based on Wheat Fields from Learn to Make Monk’s Cloth Afghans by Marilyn T. Magly.
