Market Day, Batik Cascade, Ocean Waves, Joy of Computer Work

Quilting:

I made good progress on Market Day, a sew-along by Pam Buda of Heartspun Quilts.

I also did some more quilting on Batik Cascade (Batik Go-Round) by Karen Combs.

Cross Stitch:

I did some more stitching on Joy of Computer Work which is based on artwork by Randal Spangler and adapted to cross stitch by Michele Sayetta of Heaven and Earth Designs. I didn't do any work on cleaning up the text this week.

Swedish Weaving:

Finally, I did some more work on the towel based on Ocean Waves from Learn to Make Monk’s Cloth Afghans by Marilyn T. Magly.

Market Day, Batik Cascade, Ocean Waves, The Dolphins' Domain, Potholder

Quilting:

Last Friday was the big reveal for Market Day, a sew-along by Pam Buda of Heartspun Quilts. Here's what I got sewn together this week:

I'm planning on leaving off the large border; I will, however, do the small border. I'm not a big fan of plain -- i.e. not pieced -- borders, but I do think the small border frames this quilt nicely and since it will be purple in my version that center piece won't look quite so lonely.

Next, I did some more quilting on Batik Cascade (Batik Go-Round) by Karen Combs.

I also nearly finished attaching the last binding strip to the potholder.

Potholders, The Dolphins' Domain, Ocean Waves, Market Day, Batik Cascade

Quilting:

I finished Part 10 of Market Day, a sew-along by Pam Buda of Heartspun Quilts. All the fabrics in these blocks are from Pam's American Gothic fabric line.

We've finished all of the blocks. This Friday we get to see what we're going to make out of them. I'm betting that the block with the purple is going to be in the center; otherwise, I haven't a clue.

Next, I did some more quilting on Batik Cascade (Batik Go-Round) by Karen Combs.

I finished quilting the last block for the potholders.

I also finished one binding strip on another potholder and started attaching the last strip.

Cross Stitch:

I also did some more work on The Dolphins' Domain designed by James Himsworth.
