Gift Basket - Finished

Yesterday I finished Gift Basket, the December installment of the Block of the Month series by Deanne Eisenman of Snuggles Quilts.

That's it for the sew-alongs until early January when Deanne will be posting the next block and Pam Buda will be starting her next project.

Weekly Update

I'm concentrating on the sew-alongs since their deadlines are fast approaching, so that's all I've worked on this week.

I got some more quilting done on Forget Me Not, a sew-along by Pam Buda of Heartspun Quilts. It's difficult to see in the photo, but I've done the middle 2 squares in the third, fourth, and fifth rows, and most of the 2nd square in the second row.

I've finished Gather Together, the November installment of the Block of the Month series by Deanne Eisenman of Snuggles Quilts.

Weekly Update

I've been sick again this week, so I didn't get much done. I didn't do anything on my knitting, blackwork, or finishing projects, and I'm behind on my sew-alongs.

Quilting:

I pressed the seams on the backing for Forget Me Not, a sew-along by Pam Buda of Heartspun Quilts.

I've missed the deadline for Dutchman's Puzzle, the October installment of the Block of the Month series by Deanne Eisenman of Snuggles Quilts. I don't have too much more to do however.

Cross Stitch:

I did some work on Fish City which is adapted from artwork by Stewart Moskowitz.

Swedish Weaving:

I got quite a lot done on the Feathers To and Fro afghan from Learn to Make Monk’s Cloth Afghans by Marilyn T. Magly.

Crochet:

I did some more embroidery on the 2nd panel of the Morning Glory afghan designed by Michele Maks. I also crocheted some more squares for the 3rd panel, wove in the ends, and sewed them together.

Weekly Update

I've been sick this week, so I didn't meet all of my goals. I didn't get as much done on the sew-alongs as I wanted to, and I didn't do anything on Tech Support.

Quilting:

I pieced the backing together on Forget Me Not, a sew-along by Pam Buda of Heartspun Quilts, but I didn't press it.

I sewed a bunch of pieces together on Dutchman's Puzzle, the October installment of the Block of the Month series by Deanne Eisenman of Snuggles Quilts, but, again, didn't get them pressed.

Blackwork:

I'm still working on that same square of the Blackwork Chessboard by Anne MacGregor.

Cross Stitch:

Elements of Nature I has been relegated to UFO status since I got distracted by a new project. I didn't do any more work on it before I put it away.

I've started work on Fish City which is adapted from artwork by Stewart Moskowitz. This is a huge project: 29" x 21". Rather than try to count up from the center to the upper left corner, I'm just stitching my way up there.

Swedish Weaving:

I'm still making steady progress on the Feathers To and Fro afghan from Learn to Make Monk’s Cloth Afghans by Marilyn T. Magly.

Crochet:

I did some embroidery on the 2nd panel of the Morning Glory afghan designed by Michele Maks. I also started crocheting the third square for the 3rd panel.

Knitting:

I wove in some more of the vast multitude of ends on the center panel of the Octopus Garden Blanket by Georgia Vincent.

Weekly Update

Quilting:

Yay! I finished the top on Forget Me Not, a sew-along by Pam Buda of Heartspun Quilts. Pam says we don't have to get it quilted and bound before submitting a photo, but since I've still got time I'd like to try to get it completely finished.

I've made good progress on Dutchman's Puzzle, the October installment of the Block of the Month series by Deanne Eisenman of Snuggles Quilts.

Blackwork:

I'm still working on that same square of the Blackwork Chessboard by Anne MacGregor.

Cross Stitch:

I got a lot done on Elements of Nature I, which is adapted from the artwork of Jennifer Pugh.

Swedish Weaving:

I'm still making steady progress on the Feathers To and Fro afghan from Learn to Make Monk’s Cloth Afghans by Marilyn T. Magly.

Crochet:

I finished weaving in the ends of the remaining leaves for the 2nd panel of the Morning Glory afghan designed by Michele Maks. I also wove in the ends on the last of the blue flowers. I have all of the pieces for the 2nd panel completely done. The panel now needs to be embroidered and assembled.

Knitting:

I finished the embroidery on the center panel of the Octopus Garden Blanket by Georgia Vincent.

I also made a start on weaving in the vast multitudes of ends.

Finishing:
I finished sewing the last border strip onto Tech Support, a design by Linda Connors of Calico Crossroads®, adapted from the artwork of Kathleen Kelly of Kats by Kelly™.

Weekly Update

Quilting:

Here's my progress so far on Forget Me Not, a sew-along by Pam Buda of Heartspun Quilts. At this rate I shouldn't have any trouble getting it finished by the Nov. 30th deadline.

Deanne Eisenman of Snuggles Quilts has posted the October installment of her Block of the Month series, Dutchman's Puzzle. I've cut out all the pieces and made a start on sewing them together.

Blackwork:

I'm still working on the same square of the Blackwork Chessboard by Anne MacGregor.

Cross Stitch:

I got quite a bit done on Elements of Nature I, which is adapted from the artwork of Jennifer Pugh.

Swedish Weaving:

I made some good progress on the Feathers To and Fro afghan from Learn to Make Monk’s Cloth Afghans by Marilyn T. Magly.

Crochet:

I finished 11 more leaves for the 2nd panel of the Morning Glory afghan designed by Michele Maks for a total of 26 out of 26 needed. I also wove in the ends on those leaves and 1 of the blue flowers. I now have all of the pieces for the 2nd panel done. Next, I need to finish weaving in all the ends, sew the leaves to the flowers, do the embroidery on the panel, then sew the flowers/leaves onto the panel.

Knitting:

I did some more embroidery on the center panel of the Octopus Garden Blanket by Georgia Vincent.

Finishing:

I finally got the 3rd border strip sewn onto Tech Support, a design by Linda Connors of Calico Crossroads®, adapted from the artwork of Kathleen Kelly of Kats by Kelly™.

Last night I finally finished Whirlwind, the September installment of the Block of the Month series by Deanne Eisenman of Snuggles Quilts. With just 2 days to spare. :)

Weekly Update

Quilting:

I've almost finished Whirlwind, the September installment of the Block of the Month series by Deanne Eisenman of Snuggles Quilts.  Hopefully I'll be able to get it done in the next day or two.

Pam Buda posted the next part of Forget Me Not, but it wasn't entirely clear to me which fabrics I should use or what the finished size of the blocks should be, so I've decided to wait until she does the big reveal of the entire quilt this Friday to get started on the next bit.

Blackwork:

I'm still working on the same square on the Blackwork Chessboard by Anne MacGregor.

Cross Stitch:
I got a lot done on Elements of Nature I, which is adapted from the artwork of Jennifer Pugh.

Swedish Weaving:

I only did a little on the Feathers To and Fro afghan from Learn to Make Monk’s Cloth Afghans by Marilyn T. Magly. I should get more done this week since there's a lot on TV this weekend and this is my TV-watching project. :)

Crochet:

I finished 5 more leaves for the 2nd panel of the Morning Glory afghan designed by Michele Maks for a total of 11 out of 26 needed. I also wove in the ends on 1 of the squares for the 3rd panel.

Knitting:

I did quite a bit of embroidery on the center panel of the Octopus Garden Blanket by Georgia Vincent.

Finishing:

And, finally, I sewed another border strip onto Tech Support, a design by Linda Connors of Calico Crossroads®, adapted from the artwork of Kathleen Kelly of Kats by Kelly™, and pressed both strips.

Weekly Update

Quilting:

I've been sick this week and didn't have the energy to get the iron out most days, so that's made quilting a bit of a challenge, but I finally finished Parts 11 & 12 of Forget Me Not, a sew-along by Pam Buda of Heartspun Quilts. These are the last 2 blocks in the project. This Friday Pam will give us instructions for the setting.

I also got some work done on Whirlwind, the September installment of the Block of the Month series by Deanne Eisenman of Snuggles Quilts. I had to do some frogging and resewing since I'd assembled some of the pieces in the wrong order, but I still managed to make really good progress on it.

Blackwork:

I got one square about halfway done on the Blackwork Chessboard by Anne MacGregor.

Cross Stitch:

Then there's Elements of Nature I, which is adapted from the artwork of Jennifer Pugh.

Swedish Weaving:

And the Feathers To and Fro afghan from Learn to Make Monk’s Cloth Afghans by Marilyn T. Magly.

Crochet:

I finished 1 more blue flower and 5 more leaves for the 2nd panel of the Morning Glory afghan designed by Michele Maks. That makes 7 out of 7 blue flowers, 6 out 6 purple flowers, and 6 out of 26 leaves.

Knitting:

I did a little more embroidery on the center panel of the Octopus Garden Blanket by Georgia Vincent.

Finishing:

And, finally, I sewed one border strip onto Tech Support, a design by Linda Connors of Calico Crossroads®, adapted from the artwork of Kathleen Kelly of Kats by Kelly™.
